Air North (4N) began operations in 1977 as a charter airline providing flights for the mining industry. Today the airline provides scheduled service to destinations in Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Ontario, and the Yukon. The Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport in Whitehorse, Yukon is the main base of operations. ATR 42-300, Boeing 737-200, -400, and -500, and Hawker Siddeley HS 748 aircraft are used for flight operations.
